Disclaimer
BothFit provides general fitness and nutrition estimates for education only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not replace a qualified healthcare professional. Check with your doctor before starting any exercise or diet plan, especially if you have an existing condition.
How the numbers are produced
All figures come from established, citable formulas — never invented:
- BMR: Mifflin–St Jeor equation (Katch–McArdle when body-fat % is provided).
- TDEE: BMR × an activity factor — the activity factor is an estimate and is flagged as such.
- BMI: WHO classification — a population screen, not a measure of body composition.
- Calorie & macro targets: evidence-based ranges; individual needs vary.
Allergen and ingredient data
Allergen and diet tags are best-effort and derived from a curated food database. They are not a guarantee and must not be relied on for life-threatening allergy decisions. Always check product labels yourself.
Calorie safety floor
BothFit never prescribes below a safe minimum (about 1500 kcal/day for men, 1200 for women). If your goal would require less, we cap it and suggest professional guidance.
Who this is for
BothFit is designed for healthy adults aged 18 and over. The formulas and targets are not validated for, and should not be used by, people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, or managing a medical condition without professional supervision.
A note on your wellbeing
Calorie and weight content can be harmful if you are vulnerable to disordered eating. If food or your body feels like a source of distress, please reach out to a healthcare professional or a local eating-disorder support line. Health is not a number, and there is no "perfect body."
When to see a doctor
Stop and seek medical advice if you experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, or any concerning symptom during exercise or a dietary change.
